I've been on the Keys for Cash waiting list since last spring. I've heard it's hit or miss, they just randomly hire people on. I'd love to get that e-mail.

I just got the email today and I don't know if I'm going to do it. The tests are easy as long as you read the directions. The pay varies. Numbers only gets $0.02 for every 1000 confirmed keystrokes. Alphanumeric and letters only get $0.20 for every 1000 confirmed keystrokes. So you do get paid on how much you're willing to work and how accurately you type. But are you willing or can you work nonstop in order to make the kind of money you're hoping for?

Hi Laura, I have just signed up and did all the 3 evaluation "tests" which consists of 1) Alphanumerics 2) Dollars & 3) Numbers. My scores were 90%, 99%, respectively and the overall is 56% (because they did not state my 3rd evaluation "test" result).

I understand that on their site they state that if you get 75%, it means you are better than 75% of the other candidates, and the higher your overall score, the more likely you would be hired.

What I can't understand is how my final score can be so low? and here's why... Assuming all score is worth out of the possible 100% and weighted equally, then my score would be: 90% + 99% + X% = 56% (which would mean X = -21%!) - Yikes!

I also noticed that during the evaluation "test" there were a significant repeat of the same phrase/text that you need to type. From my understanding of how word capture works is that if after a certain number of user entries produce the exact same result, then that phrase/text would then be accepted as being correct.

Overall, I think this could be a subtle and clever SCAM. By getting people to complete these evaluation "tests" people who signed up are effectively doing the verification work for free, and by not revealing the 3rd "test" result, they could confuse you with the inexplicably low score - thereby giving them an excuse for not hiring you!

I hope this information would save other people's time and energy... :)
