wow, that is very inspiring Laura. it is always inspiring to know that paycheck is not limited only from being employed.
My favorite hobby is being lazy. I'm not sure if I that can be made into an at-home-career, but I think I've come up with a brilliant plan: instead of driving around in a car to work and using tons of electricity, people will pay me to stay in bed and help the environment. I'll even use less oxygen! What do you think? Of course I am only kidding, but in America anything is possible.
My hobby that I'd like to do full time and it's called lounging around the house. I'm not sure if it could become an at home career. But I've come up with a plan: i can stay at home all day, that way I won't be using gas to drive to work and I'll also be using a lot less electricity, and people will pay me to stay in bed all day and help save the environment. What do you think? (of course I'm only kidding).
But ona serious note, I should definitely use some of my hobbies (piano playing) as a ways to make money in the future I keep forgetting that that could come in handy one day.
Now I'm not necessarily trying to be a stay at home mom lol, but this makes sense. Doing what you love is the most important thing in the world, which is why I picked up blogging.

blogging is my hobby and i'm glad i make some money out of it. i laughed when u said your house is so messy,lol.mine too - whenever my hubby is not on a business trip!when i'm alone with my daughter at home,the house is so easy to keep despite me having a regular job and online tasks.

yeah I need to sell my portraits. I draw lifelike portraits and yet I don't sell them. I should.
I like Tellie's idea of getting paid to lounge. Maybe I can find a job testing couches :). Unfortunately, I don't think I have any hobbies that someone would pay for.
I love the idea of turning ones hobby into a home business. It is a safe way to escape from the 8-5 rat race.
A hobby turned business have the added advantage of sustaining interest. Since you already enjoy the hobby, "all things being equal", working at it for money should be a thing of pleasure. I know that for some, it might not be. For example, Sandi might no longer feel like producing more potrait if it is now consider an income generating task.
