This is a remote opportunity open to people living in the US and other countries around the world. Butler Hill is looking for data annotators to review and evaluate internet search results. The evaluation work is done according to specific guidelines using an automated tool.
Ideal candidates possess a strong familiarity with a wide variety of online news sources and are avid Internet enthusiasts. This is a free-lance, contracted position requiring that annotators work remotely on a personal computer (high-speed DSL or cable and a recent version of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office proficiency are required).
Data annotators will work 4 hours per day, Monday-Friday. This project requires a continuing commitment to part-time work (20 hours per week). Project work is expected to extend for at least one month, with a possible further extension of up to six months.

This is for real, but I have read that because of a high response from postings on job sites they pretty much are full and not hiring at this time. You could always try though.

From my research it looks like around $15 an hour.

I feel really dumb but how do you go about applying for these jobs??
To apply for Butler Hill Group, just go to their website at www.butlerhill.com and on the left hand side you will see "Job Opportunities". Click on it and you will come to a search page. Highlight all jobs and it will come up with the current positions available. Click on the job you are interested in and then you can apply from there.
On most other jobs here you can follow the links and some will take you directly to the hiring page. Others you may have to follow the link path for careers or job opportunities.
